Race results

Ivanhoe runners held it's annual handicap race held in memory of Adrian Smith, an Ivanhoe runner who died from a cardiac arrest 23 years ago. Held at Hicks lodge this year, the 6 mile course involved almost 5 laps of the lake and a record 46 runners took part, raising £230 on the night for the British Heart Foundation.

There were some impressive performances, with 17 runners gaining new personal best times, but the winner of the Adrian Smith Trophy this time was James Hammond, showing a great improvement in his first season of road running for Ivanhoe, in a time of 50:28. Second place went to Carly Marie, in 53:58 while Sarah Malone took third position in 51:01.

Fastest times on the course was Matt Pleass with 35:35 for the men and Lucy McDermott for the ladies with 43:22.
