Ivanhoe Runners compete in three local leagues:

The Leicestershire Road Running League includes most of the county's road running clubs, competing as teams and individuals in 11 league races across winter and summer, over distances from five miles to half-marathon. Many of the races are closed (league clubs only) for the first week, and then open to all if there are still places; entries usually open on a Sunday evening a few weeks before the race. Captains usually announce to members when entries open.

The Burton and District Summer League is made up of several clubs within a radius of Burton-on-Trent who compete in usually eight open races across the summer, over distances from five miles to half-marathon.

The Derby Runner XC League is a closed cross-country league for invited clubs only, held on traditional cross-country courses over the winter months. Currently Ivanhoe Runners members' entry fees for these cross-country races are paid by the Club, subsidised by the Ashby 20.

Ivanhoe Runners Grand Prix

The Club holds an internal Grand Prix series each year, incorporating a variety of events over various distances and terrain. Members can navigate to the Grand Prix tab to check on the progress of this year's GP.

The Adrian Smith Handicap

Once a year the Club holds an internal handicap race, usually 10k in length, to compete for the Adrian Smith Trophy. Adrian was a founder member of the club who tragically died while competing for the Club, and all proceeds from this run are usually donated to the British Heart Foundation. New for 2026 is a fully featured tracking tab for members in the Handicap Races section.
