16/05/2018 - May Bank Hols+Sunset relays


On Bank holiday Monday, 4 Ivanhoe men ran at Milton Keynes. Louis Barnes and Patrick Horn both took on the half marathon clocking 1:38:35 and 1:48:42 respectively, while Alistair Burgwin and Ian Kirk opted for the full marathon in 4:01:40 and 4:06:52 respectively

Meanwhile 4 Ivanhoe Ladies took on the Woodhouse May day challenge. A 13.5 Mile circular route taking in Beacon Hill and Bradgate Park, led by Dawn Pearson running a fantastic pace in 2:12:43 and finishing 30th female. Teresa Talbott and Amanda Bradbury both crossed the line in 2:47:44, closely followed by Heather Swan in 2:51:29.

It was the 3rd and final race of the Sunset trail relay series at Calke Abbey, and our 2 Ivanhoe teams did not disappoint. 'Ivanhoe Knights', which were Mark Parker, Emily Partridge, Louis Barnes and Andy Lindley ran a leg each, with a total time of 1:10:58, earning 48 points. Our Ladies team, the 'Four Feisty Sheilas' who were Heather Swan, Teresa Talbott, Amanda Bradbury, all running on tired legs from the previous day, along with friend Jill Singleton, ran a total time of 1:28:47. Helen Finn and Julie Taylor were also there running in other teams with Taylor completing her lap in 19:17 and Finn 21:13. Overall, Ivanhoe Knights were delighted to be crowned best performing male team with their winning total of 144 points, with the Ladies team attaining Fourth place female team after good consistent running over the 3 events.
