22/07/2022 - parkrunday!

parkrun rolls around once more, so what were we all up to last weekend as parkrun welcomed their five millionth unique finisher? ๐Ÿฅณ

At Conkers, Ian Bolton led 20 Ivanhoes to the finish funnel after the 5K along the trails finishing bang on 20 minutes in 12th place. Currently in incredible form, Jordan Cope followed, the boys separated by just one place, and was awarded a super PB in a time of 20:26, a fabulous three PBs from his last three visits to Conkers parkrun. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

A total of 14 different parkruns were covered by members this week, so ๐Ÿฅ roll please for our tourists… ๐Ÿš˜

Andy, Chris, Mindy, Laura and Kenny took a trip to Nottingham ๐Ÿน for Forest Rec parkrun, a course PB for Chris and a first time visit for the rest of the clan. The hills are worth it for the post run café. ๐Ÿง

The Jeyes were at Wickford Memorial parkrun, both topping their age category ๐Ÿ† and Sally achieving the highest WAVA score and a new age category record in 28:05. The Blands were at Medina parkrun, the parkrun renowned for moving around the Isle of Wight ๐Ÿ. The Sanders were at the 19th running of Downham Market Academy, a small parkrun with just 60 finishers.

Karl Wideman was at Ashbourne Recreation Ground, Emily P was at Watermead finishing ๐Ÿฅˆ lady, James Ogilvie ran at Wollaton for the second time, and a shoutout to James for achieving his 50th milestone earlier this month! ๐Ÿคฉ

Mark Parker was tempo running at Hereford parkrun and picked up the number โœŒ๐Ÿผ token, Rupert May was up and down the dunes of Wollacombe and finished as super sixth. We’ve had runners at Wollacombe Dunes the last two weekends, will we make it a ๐ŸŽฉ -trick?

Andrea Allen checked out Sheringham parkrun for the first time, her 15th different event, whilst Bob White became the first Ivanhoe member to run at Trelai Park parkrun. Carolyn Osbourne was down in the big smoke ๐Ÿ’‚๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ, and added Riddlesdown to her parkrun CV, finishing as sixth female.

Big thanks to this weeks volunteers at Conkers and Swad, Pippa, Vic, Mindy, Kenny and Emily.
