Ivanhoe runners have been busy in recent weeks in various races up and down the country. On the 24th July club veterans Andy and Sally Jeyes ran the Staffs Knot 5 mile race on a very warm Cannock Chase. In their second races of the week, Sally clocked a time of 45:00, and Andy 37:30, 1st MV70.

Six runners represented the club at another summers evening race, the Tara Kinder memorial 10k, held at Elvaston castle country park.

Alistair Chambers was first home for Ivanhoe, clocking 38:56 and 23rd overall position. Mark Parker was next in 40:21, ahead of Andy Jeyes in 45:22. Julie Taylor led the three ladies in 49:53, then Sue Tait came in at 53:33 and Sally Jeyes completing the team in 54:51.

Martin Yeomans completed the Wales Marathon, as part of the Tenby Long Course weekend, He finished the 26.2 mile event over difficult terrain in 5:06:10, after also doing the full distance bike and swim in the two days previously.

On the 3rd August Ian Kirk ran the Railway Ultra, comprising three out and back legs down the converted railway line from Coalport near Ironbridge for a total of 28 miles in 4:31.
