The inaugeral Fractured marathon at Calke Abbey is a marathon with a difference, in that it is run as 10 laps of 2.6 miles to make up the marathon distance. Each lap must be completed within 30 minutes, with competitiors starting together every half hour. This can be done as solo or relay, and Ivanhoe put out a mixed team of 5 for the relay event. Nick Rowles, Damon Bland, Lucy Alsopp, Victoria Smith and Chris Osbourne ran 10 legs between them, clocking the total distance in 3:22:44, and winning the mixed team trophy, rounding off an enjoyable evening of running.
