Wednesday 17th was the 5th Derby Midweek series of the season, with 4 runners from Ivanhoe competing in cold and windy conditions. In the 5k, Andy Lindley was 1st for the club, in 20:29 and position 27. Next in was Julie Taylor performing a personal best time in 23:09. Rebecca Randall ran in 34:28, closely followed by Helen Brandon in 34:42.

3 runners completed the 1 mile event, starting with Andy Lindley at 06:49. Next in Julie Taylor had another good run in 07:20, with Helen Brandon in 10:05.

The Allestree Derby Runners Cross Country on Sunday was a particularly tough race in muddy, slippery conditions but despite snow still falling 27 hardy runners braved the cold. First home for the men was Craig Hinds in 39th place, with Alistair Burgwin hot on his heels in 41st. Karl Wideman came in 53rd, with Nick Rowles finishing 66th despite taking a fall. In quick succession in places 109,110 and 112 was Andy Lindley, Ian Bolton, and Chris Thurburn. Cross country captain Martin Yeomans was next in 162nd. In 185 and 187 were Kev Laz and Julian Rawlins, with Jordan Cope just under the 200 mark in 199th. Andrew Botrill and Mukesh Peva had a great run to finish in 208 and 209th place respectively, with Jez Millington-Pike completing the men's squad in place 241.

Eliza McDermott was first home for the Ladies, finishing in a superb 8th place. Rosie Dear came in 35th, and Lucy Arkinstall 40th. Karen Bell finished in 43rd place to complete the scoring team. Fiona Betts had a good run to finish in 47th place, with Emily Wideman close behind in 49th. Victoria Smith came in 64th place, and Carolyn Osbourne in 67th. Teresa Talbot ran strongly to get 81st place, with Lucy Allsop continuing her good form in 107th. Sarah Malone, Lisa Hughes and Emily Partridge ran most of the course together and came in 111th, 112th and 114th.
