Race results


Heading overseas, a contingent took in Palma races as part of a birthday celebration. Ian Kirk did the full marathon - obviously - in 4.34.56, with the first half pacing wife Loretta to her first half marathon in 2.39.07. Also in the half marathon Amy Derbyshire clocked 2.16.48. In the 10k race Jason Green ran 51.37 and a trio including Ruth Green, Allie Sturla and Michelle Foxon ran a pleasurable 1.20 together.

In Amsterdam, three Ivanhoe Runners endured a very hot day for the half marathon, with Hannah Knowles, Laura Collier (2.00) and Ruth Cousin (2.08) taking part. In the US, Helen Finn did the Brooklyn half marathon in a swift .59.31 which was a new personal best time. And on yet another continent, Duncan Ross did the Melbourne half marathon which finished inside the iconic MCG and clocked 2.01.56. 

Over a shorter 5k distance, Teresa Talbott set a new personal best for 5k in Malta. clocking 27.10. Also over 5k, in the Derby midweek series Richard Martin was 15th in 18.55, Andrew Stanley 23rd in 19.57 on his debut, Julie Taylor 50th in 24.25 on her debut and Helen Brandon 67th in 33.58. Julie Taylor also did the shortest event to report this week, the one mile event in 7.05.
