03/09/2017 - John Fraser 10 - LRRL


It was another hectic weekend for Ivanhoe Runners with club members at five different races over the weekend. The main focus was the latest round of the Leicestershire Road Running League, the John Fraser 10 miler, where a successful squad saw many member make their 10 mile debuts and several setting new personal bests. 

First home at John Fraser was racing machine Craig Hinds, finishing in 38th place in 1.02.24, a great time, and putting him a minute clear of Matt Pleass 50th in 1.03.28. Karl Wideman made his 10 mile debut and clocked an impressive 1.09.15, while Patrick Horn continues to set new personal bests, clocking 1.11.56 to set a new 10 mile benchmark. Alastair Burgwin was next home in 1.14.30, before Ivanhoe first lady home, Emily Wideman, set a new personal best with a  great run for 1.15.34. 

Martin Yeomans ran a solid 1.17.27, closely followed by Damon Bland 1.17.36. Richard Hope clocked 1.21.56 before an impressive 10 mile debut from Hanna Robbins saw her clock 1.22.04. Mark Eydman clocked 1.22.42, ahead of Emily Partridge 1.25.39 and Chris Finney 1.26.43. Lindsay Tilbury was delighted to record a new personal best time of 1.28.45, as was next Ivanhoe home, Helen Finn, clocking a swift 1.31.02. Mo Danvers rallied to clock 1.46.00, before two Ivanhoe Runners making their ten mile debuts - Jessica Southwart clocking 1.47.17 and Helen Brandon 1.59.50. Finally Julie Henfrey rounded off a great day out for Ivanhoe with a time of 2.08.56.
