Over in Ireland, Ruth Cousin set a new personal best time as she clocked 49.42 in the Dublin Rock and Roll 10k. Closer to home, in the Newark half marathon, Hannah Knowles ran a brilliant race to finish first Ivanhoe Runner in 1.35.14, a new personal best. Mark Parker did not enjoy the warm conditions and came home in 1.44.45, and Emily Partridge ran 1.58.47.

Meanwhile, further afield and in wet and windy conditions, Tim Moore ran the St Levan 10k in Cornwall, finishing in 52.12 in 190th place.
