The Joy Cann Five proved a happy hunting ground for Ivanhoe Runners with some fast times and vital points gained in the Leicestershire Road Running League. First home for Ivanhoe was Matt Pleass, finishing 42nd in 30.41, ahead of Richard Martin 60th in 31.28. Karen Bell is in fine form at the moment and set a new personal best for five miles with a time of 36.23, this also placed her 4th vet45.

Richard Bebbington was next home, finishing 230th in 37.23, just ahead of ladies captain Victoria Smith 234th in 37.30. Tim Moore ran his second fastest ever five miler as he clocked 38.18 in 256th, followed by Carolyn Osborne in 40.27. Ange Bebbington is also running very well, and clocked a swift 42.04. Helen Finn ran 45.09, ahead of Sam Toon 47.44, a rejuvenated Mo Danvers with 49.02 and Julie Henfrey 57.47.

Andy Lindley competed in another madcap event as he ran the Dovedale Dipper 26 mile trail marathon in the Peak District. As expected it was tough and hilly, and Andy finished in 5 hours 16 minutes.

parkrun continues to attract the Saturday runners, and notable performances this week were seen from Hannah Knowles who was first female at Conkers with a new personal best of 20.34, and other personal bests set by Alan Ginn who flew to 6th place with a new personal best of 18.38, Patrick Horn with 20.15, and new members Andrew Bottrill (22.51) and Kim Harris (32.28).
