09/07/2017 - Hungarton 7 LRRL

Race results

The LRRL Hungarton 7 is a rural race over a tough course, and almost always on a hot summer night. This year was no exception and the fifteen Ivanhoe Runners who braved the race enjoyed the scenery if not the conditions.

Craig Hinds was first home for the sky-blues in 26th place in 43 minutes dead, and was pursued by Matt Pleass 30th in 43.40. Men's captain Nick Rowles was 59th in 46.09, followed in 59th by Richard Martin, clocking 46.52. Phil Stevenson was next home, 78th in 47.04, followed by the Mark's - Parker in 91st in 47.47, setting a new personal best, and Bradford in 145th in 51.17.

The Ivanhoe ladies were led home by Clare Fowell, enjoying her steadier for her run of 52.10 in 159th overall, but importantly she was 7th lady. Ladies captain Victoria Smith had a good run for 55.31, only just missing a PB, followed by Karen Hartland in 59.34. Just outside the hour was Carolyn Osborne, in 1.00.43, followed by three team-mates finishing together - Fiona McKean in 1.06.16 and Marie Concannon and Helen Finn both on 1.06.19. Mo Danvers completed the team finishing in 1.15 07.
