Even though there were two dozen Ivanhoe Runners in action at Markfield, there were another sixteen racing at different locations and distances around the country. A very successful trio tackled the tough Ironbridge half marathon but stormed it, with two of them setting new personal bests and the other missing his by one second ! Alastair Burgwin led the way with a 1.26.19 personal best, followed by Louis Barnes with a 1.31.46 personal best and Patrick Horn just one second away from his with 1.40.50.

Also scorching the tarmac, this time at Silverstone, was Ruth Cousin, who clocked a swift 1.52.45 in the Adidas half marathon.
