Run in very cold conditions, the popular Shepshed Seven saw Ivanhoe Runners post several personal bests. First home was Dave Hobbs in 35th in 45.17, a new personal best, ahead of Louis Smith running 47.32 (62nd) in his first seven mile race. Sarah Terry ran a blinding personal best as she clocked 48.48 to finish 9th lady, a great run. Close behind, Clare Fowell also set a new personal best clocking 49.21. Martin Yeomans was next home, in 50.51, just in front of Damon Bland on the road, though Damon clocked a slightly quicker 50.50, setting himself a new personal best time. Emily Wideman also set a new personal best, clocking 51.59, while Patrick Horn ran his first seven mile race in a fine 53.11.

Jason Green was chuffed to clock a new personal best as he ran 54.08 to shave 9 seconds off his previous best, ahead of Andy Pawley making a rare appearance for the club as he clocked 55 minutes in is first seven mile race. Also debuting at Shepshed and just behind Andy was Laura Collier, timed to 55.06. Both Karen Bell and Victoria Smith had run the National Cross country relays the previous day and were content with running round together and clocking times of 56.14 and 56.16. David Walker was next home, in his first seven mile race clocking 56.17. Mark Eydman ran 59.26, followed by Jez Millington-Pipe clocking 1.02.26. Alison Cooper ran her first seven mile race and clocked 1.04.49 as did Lucy Allsop 1.07.17, while Grania Towle set a new personal best time of 1.07.53 ahead of Julie Henfrey whose fast finish saw her clock 1.23.43.

In the Derby 10 mile race, six Ivanhoe Runners raced with Mark Parker first home for the club to clock 1.09.51 in his first ten miler for Ivanhoe. Ian Kirk is on fire at the moment and notched up another personal best time of 1.10.12 knocking a massive 5 minutes off his previous best. The four other runners in the squad all ran their first ten milers for Ivanhoe Runners, with Emily Partridge next home in an excellent 1.22.02, followed by Lindsay Tilbury 1.30.14, Diane Brocklesbury 1.37.23 and Sonia Hoult 1.49.07.

Also racing ten miles but in the Flying Fox ten was Tim Moore, who set a personal best by nearly three minutes as he clocked 1.16.59.
