A big running weekend also saw Ivanhoe Runners in action behind Mo Farah in the Great North Run, run in very warm conditions. First home for the club was Mark Parker in 1.36.44, ahead of Alan Edwards 1.43.07 and Mark Murphy 1.47.11 Nick Lee-Smith was next home in 1.53.47, raising another huge amount for charity, followed by Emily Partridge 2.09.32. Karen Hartland ran with her sister and clocked 2.23.44, followed by Jenny Hope 2.35.25. Finally two graduates from Ivanhoe Runners beginners programme ran together, Sonia Hoult and Diane Brocklesby both clocking 3.08.42.

Closer to home, Dave Hobbs and Laura Collier ran the Lichfield 10k. Dave ran 39.13 to finish an excellent 23rd overall, while Laura set a new personal best as she clocked 49.42 to knock just over a minute off her previous best.
