With no league races this week, to avoid race withdrawal symptoms some Ivanhoe Runners took part in the Badgers 10k at Atherstone. Almost inevitably Craig Hinds was the first club member home, clocking 39.37 to finish 14th overall. Dave Hobbs was next home, 25th in 41.35, before Ian Kirk taking on an unusually short distance for him and clocking a very pleasing 44.57 in 53rd place.

Patrick Horn clocked 46.04 n 61st place, ahead of Tim Sturla also tackling what is for him a sprint event, clocking 48.22 to finish 93rd. Sam Toon clocked 1.05.04 to finish 362nd, before two debutantes at the distance, Rachel Thurbon and Marie Miller, who clocked 1.10.16 and 1.12.30 respectively.

On the parkrun scene, Conkers saw a large Ivanhoe turnout at the latest set of beginners "matriculated" with the 5k run. At the front, Sarah Terry was first lady home running her fastest 5k since the arrival of Blake, while there were personal bests for Tracey Powell (22.41), Tim Moore (23.53) and Suzanne Parish (24.34).
