Ivanhoe Runners were busy again despite the absence of league races last week. In the fast Notts 5 miler on Wednesday night, four Ivanhoe Runners took part with Alistair Chambers first home in 31.48 in 42nd place, showing the high quality of the field. He just headed Richard Martin 51st in 32.34, while Andy Lindley ran 34.42 in 79th and Karen Bell clocked 37.30.

Lindley and Bell were in action the following night in the popular Leicester Midweek 5k Series. Bell again led the ladies to a team prize as Ivanhoe Ladies finished first, with Bell clocking a fine 22.57, Karen Hartland 23.46 and Sam Toon 31.05. Lindley was Ivanhoe' sole male representative and clocked 21.05.
