With marathon season now well underway, four Ivanhoe Runners travelled to Brighton for their 26.2 mile marathon. First home for the club and posting a brilliant performance was men’s captain nick Rowles. After showing really good form recently, a fast time was expected of Nick, but he went well beyond expectations and smashed his previous best by over 6 minutes as he clocked 3.12.42, a time that will qualify him for an automatic place in both the London and Boston marathons.

Next home was Richard Bebbington, doing his third marathon in three weeks along with wife Ange for the Wisher for Kids charity. Richard ran the fastest of the three so far, 3.45.08, while Ange finished in 5.11.14. Finishing between them was Teresa Talbott, clocking 4.34.03 in the warm conditions.
