The Aldi Ashby 20 always raises various monies for charities both directly and indirectly, and the 2016 event raised money for a number of local charitable organisations including the Leicestershire Search and Rescue, the Ashby Endurance Explorer Scout Unit and the local Rotary Club. Last week Kevin Sanders from the Ashby 20 organising committee of Ivanhoe Runners presented a cheque for £500 from the 2016 race to Ray Harriman, President of the Rotary Club of Ashby Castle. This money will go to support Rotary’s work around Ashby including supporting other local charities.
