Five Ivanhoe Runners tackled the Woodhouse Challenge on May Day Bank Holiday Monday. This is a pleasant, but undulating 13.5 mile off road course around Beacon Hill and Bradgate Park. Phil Stevenson had a great race to finish in 24th position in 1:38:13. Tim Sturla should have been running the Milton Keynes Marathon, but following a number mix up, he opted for this race instead. He hid his disappointment well by running a very strong race, finishing 76th in 1:51:40. Ingrid Redmond was running with a friend, so had a very leisurely race (for her!) finishing 221st in 2:18:08. Finally Fiona McKean and Andy Lindley, both extremely tired from the previous day's Uttoxeter Half Marathon (and a mountain bike pub crawl in the afternoon!) ran/walked the course together, finishing 315th and 316th in 2:44:48.
