The Prestwold 10k took place on Sunday – the latest instalment in the Leicester Road Running League. Taking advantage of the brighter day of the weekend, 20 Ivanhoe Runners made the trip out, with some PBs and course debuts to make the trip worthwhile.

Ian Bolton was first home for the club, finishing 65th with a new personal best time of 38:16, with Richard Martin and Alistair Chambers completing the top three with 39:31 and 39:26 respectively. Nick Rowles finished strong with 41:35, just ahead of the first Ivanhoe Lady, Claire Fowell, who posted a new PB time of 41:54. Next home for the men, and all within a minute of each other, were Martin Yeomans (42:24), first- timer Pav Mazur (42:42), and Kev right (43:07), while Damon Bland (44:08), Bob White (46:45), and Alan Edwards (46:46) completed the men’s contingent.

For the ladies, Karen Bell was second home, finishing strong in 47:35, while Carolyn Osbourne was third Ivanhoe lady with 49:02. Just nipping under that 50-minute barrier and securing a new PB was Ann Newbery with 49:04, while Laura Graves continued her return to fitness with an impressive 50:30. Victoria Smith (51:10) and Sarah Malone (52:58) were next home for the ladies, while Judy Edlin (53:51), Karen Edwards (55:44), and Katie Poole (01:00:11) completed the Ivanhoe lineup.
