A total of eight Ivanhoe Runners made the journey to Nottingham for the Notts 5 mile race last Wednesday evening, making the most of their being no weekend league races. With a flat, two-lap course and perfect weather conditions, everyone ran strongly with three even achieving new PBs.

First home on the evening was Richard Martin who ran a fantastic 30:31 to finish 42nd overall. Next was Andy Lindley who secured a brilliant 42-second personal best in a time of 33:27, just ahead of Kev Wright who finished strongly in 35:07.

Laura Graves was first back for the ladies, setting a new 19-second personal best with a time of 36:52, while Victoria Smith was hot on her heels, finishing in 38:29. Emma Kirtland stormed home in 39:14 to secure herself a huge 1:20 personal best, finishing just ahead of Carolyn Osborne who recorded a time of 39:22. Fiona McKean completed the Ivanhoe turnout, finishing the race in 43:13.
