04/04/2015 - Burnham on Sea 5K

Race results

With no local league races on offer this weekend Ivanhoe Runners' highly successful ladies cross country captain and iron lady didn't let this stop her and traveled some 150 miles in search of a suitably competitive event. Fortunately her nose for a great race is as good as her cake baking and Teresa Talbott took on the challenge of the final race in the Burnham on Sea 5k winter series. This low key event saw an elite field of 23 runners who took on a fast three loop route along the sea coast, with blustery winds adding to the challenge. Teresa was delighted to finish an excellent 6th lady, and whilst the organizers could clearly learn from the Ashby 20, omitting the legendary cheese cob, she was rewarded with a welcomed spot prize of a bag of Haribo. Another great result for Ivanhoe on tour!
