Ivanhoe Runners  took part in two separate 10k events this weekend. At the Fradley 10k Dave Hobbs once again showed great improvement this season as he set a new personal best time of 38:24 (39th) ahead of Alistair Chambers (52nd in 38:56) and Andy Benton (352nd in 50:27). Julie Ward-Rotherham made a welcome return to the team finishing next in 53:06 (426th) followed by John Lewis who set a great new personal best of 59:20 (608th) with new member recording her first 10k race for Ivanhoe Runners with a great finish just outside the hour in 1:02:01 (666th). Finally the club fielded a team at the King Richards 10k, a new event at Market Bosworth. Victoria Smith had an excellent morning to finish 4th lady and 22nd overall in 48:44 just in front of Dawn Pearson, 5th lady and 23rd in 49:07 and Bart Reid, 24th in 49:09, a rare outing for Bart in Ivanhoe colours. Next came Chris and Carolyn Osborn who finished together in 32nd and 33rd in 50:22 and 50:29. Helen Horn had a great race to record a new personal best time of 52:05 (36th) with a similarly pleasing new personal fastest of 52:16 for Bev Jones (38th place) completing the weekend’s events.
