The Hermitage 10k was the latest round in the Leicestershire Road Race league and saw twenty-one Ivanhoe Runners take part over the tough hilly course. First home was Matt Morgan in 31st place, clocking 38.40, followed by an astounding run from Kelly Alldread who on her return from injury had a fantastic run to finish 3rd lady overall in a time of 40.18 - a new personal best by around a minute. Martin Yeomans was next home, clocking 41.50 in 65th place, while Kev Wright had a great run to clock 42.19 in 76th. Also setting a new personal best, despite the tough course, was Barry Alldread, knocking over three minutes off his previous best to clock 43.23 in 90th place. Just breaking into the top 100 was Phil Stevenson, 99th in 43.59, while just under a minute behind was Andy Jeyes, 120th in 44.53. Alex Tylee-Birdsall ran 45.55 in 138th, ahead of Tim Sturla 152nd in 46.23, Andy Pawley 161st in 46.36 and Murray Needham 189th in 47.43. Lynda Revill was Ivanhoe\'s second lady home, running a fine 48.01 in 194th place, just two seconds in front of Amanda Bradbury who was 196th in 48.03. Clare Fowell was next home, clocking 49.29 (229th), followed by Rosie Dear with 49.46 (234th). Karen Edmonds clocked 52.14 (278th), ahead of Laura Graves 53.04 (296th) and Ali Sturla 53.09 (299th). Heather Swan clocked 58.51 (367th), Sally Jeyes 59.53 (379th) and Andy Pole 68.34 (420th). Meanwhile five Ivanhoe Runners “Raced the Train" in Wales with Andy Hough home first and being the only one to beat the train, running 1.47.39 in 95th place. Alistair Chambers was next home in 1.50.56 in 137th place - a couple of minutes behind the train. Ian Bolton ran 2.01.20 in 277th, Sean Wileman 2.08.55 in 403rd and Roger Beaven 2.18.28 in 509th. The Conkers Parkrun 5k saw new personal bests for Jason Marlow 19.52 in 6th lace, and Andy Jeyes with 21.28 in a fine 14th place. Kelvin Banbury was first home for Ivanhoe in third with 19.10. Andy Lindley had a better run to clock 21.54 in 16th, followed by Paul Harris 24th in 22.38, and Lynda Revill 35th with 23.35. Judith Webster-Sanders was 54th in 25.28, Kevin Sanders ran 26.34 in 62nd, Sally Jeyes ran 27.33 in 66th and Karl Savill made a careful comeback in 76th with 28.57.
