10/11/2014 - Seagrave, Rockingham

Race results

Following the recent torrential downpours it was a hardy group of eleven Ivanhoe Runners who took on the Seagrave Wolds Challenge on Saturday. This tough off road race of almost 16 miles is made easier by frequent cake stops along the route which clearly spurred the team along to strong finishes. Ingrid Redmond, Ian Kirk, Tim Sturla and Alan Edwards led the team home finishing together in 145th-148th places in 2 hours 33 minutes closely followed by Damon Bland in 2:38:25. Next came a second group of Karen Hartland, Rebecca Wilkinson and Fiona McKean who finished 227th-229th in 2:58. The final Ivanhoe trio of Amanda Bradbury, Heather Swan and Teresa Talbott made the most of the refreshments as they completed the team finishing in 250th-252nd places in 3 hours 10 minutes. Elsewhere three members took on the Rockingham 10 mile race on Sunday. Becca Hallam was once again outstanding finishing first lady and 18th overall in 1:09:37 breaking the ladies club record in the process. Dave Hobbs and Andy Lindley were close behind finishing 20th and 21st in 1:12:13 (in Dave’s first 10 mile race) and 1:12:39 respectively; well done to all.
