06/10/2014 - Bozzie 10k Shelton 10k

The rest of this week’s action took place at Market Bosworth where the Football Club hosted the inaugural Bozzie 10k run over a pretty but testing undulating route. Men’s Captain Martin Yeomans led the team home well finishing first for the club in 10th place in a time of 40:54 closely followed by Nick Rowles with a season’s best time of 41:16 (11th) and new member Simon Terry running very well to come home 12th in 41:27. Andy Jeyes had a fine run to cross in 22nd place in 43:46 ahead of  Kev Wright and Damon Bland who ran together finishing in 36th and 37th places in 46:08 and 46:09. First Ivanhoe lady with a great run was Amanda Bradbury, 45th in 49:21. Strong running from Theresa Talbot saw her home in 51:57 (56th) ahead of a fabulous race from super veteran Sally Jeyes, 57th in 52:54. Emma Kirtland beat her previous best 10k time as she finished in 59th place (53:31). Next came a trio of Ivanhoe Runners:  Judith Webster-Sanders 60th in 53:59, Kev Sanders (61st in 54:00) and Heather Swan, 62nd in 54:08, great team packing and a seasons best for Heather. Following his recent success in the club handicap race Michael Swan ran bravely through injury to complete the team as he finished in 70th place in 56:26. Ruth Enion was the solo club representative at the Shelton Striders 10k finishing in an excellent time of 48:21.
