Race results

Ivanhoe Runners were once again in action at various events this weekend. Continuing his incredible challenge of running 10 marathons in 10 weeks to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity, Nick Teige completed the Chesterfield marathon, his fifth event in as many weeks. Running with team mate Steve Baggott in support, the pair finished the race together in an impressive 3:47:47  in 82nd and 83rd places. Closer to home, Dave Hobbs and Becca Hallam took on the Northampton half marathon and both enjoyed a great run with Dave finishing 36th overall in an excellent 1:29:42 with Becca not far behind, 70th overall and 8th lady in 1:34:13. Eight members participated in the local Calke Abbey 10k run over a challenging hilly route. Ever consistent vet Alistair Chambers lead the team home finishing 13th in 40:25. Next came Karen Bell who was very pleased to finish 9th lady (67th overall) in 48:37 just ahead of Will Wright with another good run, 77th in 49:17. Seran Bradley was next returning well from injury to finish 33rd lady (165th overall) in 56:51 with Bev Trilloe and Christopher Jones close behind, 175th and 176th in 57:31.
