Much further afield Ruth and Jason Green decided to enter a race whilst on holiday in Majorca. They ran the Margarita Ferrer Memorial 6k race in temperatures of over 30C. They finished together in 29m 7s. Ruth was extremely pleased to finish 1st Veteran Lady, and 3rd Lady overall, her first ever podium finish. The rather bizarre prize for this great result was a box of offal! Jason finished 34th overall and 6th in his category. Jason’s achievement was even more remarkable as he had cycled 500 mile from Yorkshire to Paris the week before to raise money for the charity Breast Cancer Care.
