Seven Ivanhoe Runners took part in the Belvoir half marathon this weekend in near perfect running conditions over an attractive flat route through the Vale of Belvoir starting and finishing at Hose Village Hall. First home for the club in an impressive 34th place overall and 3rd in his age category was Alistair Chambers in 1:27:12. Next home was Martin Yeomans with another great run to finish in 89th position in 1:33:58. Ian Kirk was next finishing well despite recent long training miles, 109th in 1:36:24 just ahead of Andy Lindley who was using it as a marathon training run and finished 127th in 1:37:54. Sarah Taylor and Angela Wheeler were next, Sarah pacing Angela to another excellent personal best time of 2:04:46 (343rd and 344th places) ahead of Brian Gough training for the London Marathon and coming home 409th in 2:36:01. Elsewhere Ruth Enion completed the East Leake Triathlon in 1:14:39 finishing 136th overall and an excellent 4th in category.
