First home for the club in the West End 8 was club stalwart and men’s Captain Martin Yeomans, 100th in 57:13. Next came Clare Fowell, continuing her outstanding season to post another personal best time finishing 6th lady (117th overall) in 58:39. Tim Sturla was next with a strong run bringing him home in 130th place in 59:54 just ahead of Becca Hallam running an excellent debut 8 mile race and finishing in exactly 60 mins (9th lady and 131st overall). Phil Stevenson was next, 161st in 62:52 finishing one place ahead of Karen Bell, also running her first ever 8 mile event finishing well in 62:50 (19th lady and 162nd overall) with Mike Sharpe not far behind, 167th in 63:01. Ian Kirk was the next Ivanhoe finisher, 178th in 63:49 ahead of a great run from Ingrid Redmond, 193rd and 32nd lady in 64:39 and Dave Morse who crossed in 194th place in 64:36. Next came Laura Graves who beat her previous personal best by 5 minutes finishing 198th (34th lady) in 65:06. New member Karen Harland with a great first race for the club, 258th (62nd lady) in 70:10 ahead of Bev Trilloe, 278th (76th lady) in 72:16. Helen Horn and Angela Wheeler crossed the line together, next, finishing 306th and 307th (95th and 96th ladies) in 76:28 and 76;26 - new personal fastest times for both. Kelly Finney also ran a new personal best, next in 312th (100th lady) in 78:24 ahead of husband Chris Finney, 314th in 78:30. Julie Henfrey was running 8 miles for the first ever time and finished well in 102:57 (361st and 131st lady).
