17/04/2014 - London Sweepstake Results![]() So this years London Marathon competition attracted 29 entries, meaning £29 gets shared among the three placers. This was a “low-scoring” year as Clare Fowell foxed everyone with her blinding sub-3.30 run. And clearly having weekly visibility of everyone’s race results was no help at all, as the lowest scorer was… Ruth Green (sorry Ruth). The tie break did not come into it, but had it done the nearest to Andy Jeyes time was Keith Baron who estimated Andy’s time at 3.28.27, just 7 seconds out from the actual time of 3.28.34. Next nearest was………….. Andy Jeyes, estimating 3.28.42, 8 seconds out! So, Andy ran the race just 8 seconds faster than he predicted. Anyway, having built the suspense the winners were:
