Starting off Ivanhoe's hectic weekend on Friday were Phil and Ingrid Stevenson at the Dubai Autodrome 10k. An early start was in order to miss the worst of the Arabian conditions, despite the 7am horn, in 25 degree heat PBs were never on the cards. After two undulating laps of the Autodrome Phil came home in 17th in a time of 42:07 while Ingrid finished 7th lady in 51:18. A refreshing post race breakfast, in place of the traditional Ivanhoe cakefest, provided a much needed opportunity to rehydrate.

The Derby Midweek races continue to attract Ivanhoe Runners, and last week saw three runners contest the mile, with Matt Pleass 9th in 5.08, Andy Lindley 26th in 5.57 - a personal best - and Tim Moore 43rd in 6.59. In the 5k race Matt was 23rd in 18.25, Andy was 44th in 20.21, Tim 65th in 22.51 and Lucy Allsop 80th in 25.41.
