At its recent Annual General Meeting, Ivanhoe Runners made several changes to its committee for 2017. Joining the committee as social secretaries are Helen Horn and Bev Jones, while Damon Bland moves across to the positon of Fixtures Secretary. Laura Graves re-joins the committee as Special Events Officer. Thanks were expressed to Ruth Green and Emma Kirtland who both retired from the committee after several year’s service.

Heather Swan was re-elected as Club Chairman, Angela Wheeler as Secretary and Phil Stevenson as Treasurer. Also remaining on the committee in the same roles as 2016 are Nick Rowles (Men’s Captain), Victoria Smith (Ladies Captain), Lucy Allsop (Results Secretary), Karen Bell (Newsletter Editor) and Kevin Sanders (Publicity Officer).

Also at the AGM, a very popular vote saw Martin Yeomans elected as an Honorary Life Member of the club recognising his long membership since 1986 and significant service to the club over that period. The AGM also approved a reduction in minimum age for membership from 18 years to 16 years.
