The annual Keyworth Turkey Trot always gets a strong turnout from Ivanhoe Runners and this year was no exception, with twelve Club members taking part. First home and winning his age category, and a frozen turkey, was Alistair Chambers in a swift 1.24.03 which placed him 43rd overall. Dave Hobbs had a nippy run to finish 92nd in 1.28.44, while Ian Bolton ran 1.31.33 to finish 130th. Andy Jeyes was faster than last year as he clocked 1.36.08 (213th), just ahead of Clare Fowell fighting off a cold but clocking 1.36.49.

Tim Sturla ran 1.42.12 (335th) ahead of Jason Green 1.48.22 (455th), followed by ladies club captain Victoria Smith in 1.51.03. Nick Lee-Smith was next home in 1.54.24, closely followed by Karen Hartland in 1.54.58. Then Helen Horn came along with her "pacer" Laura Graves, both clocking the same time and Helen delighted with a new personal best time of 1.57.37, which knocked a massive four minutes plus off her previous best.

 

In the Leicester midweek 5k series, Andy Lindley ran a swift 21.59 to finish 18th while Sam Toon set a new personal best time of 27.49, knocking over 2 minutes off her previous best, and finished 48th.
