Race results

Ivanhoe Runners were in action far and wide at the weekend. The furthest travelled on foot was Ian Kirk, who competed in ice, snow and rain as he ran the Brecon Beacons ultra marathon in 9 hours and 29 minutes, finishing a brilliant 29th overall in this gruelling 46 mile race.  This was over an hour and a half quicker than his previous time for this monster event.

Meanwhile in much warmer Spain, Alistair Chambers ran the superb time of 2.58.14 for the Valencia Marathon, a great performance. And nearer home, Andy Lindley ran the Clowne half marathon in tough weather conditions and clocked a very respectable 1.35 dead.

New member Chris Lockhart has been very busy, starting with an excellent 3rd in the Tunnel Vision run on Thursday, clocking 28 minutes 54 seconds. He followed this up with the Canicross European championships where he finished 8th overall, and the mo run where again he was 3rd overall - a very productive week !

Finally, in the Beacon Trail half marathon run within the grounds of Beacon Hill Park, Hannah Knowles ran 1.58.47 to finish 115th overall.
