Saturday saw the National Cross-Country relays held on a very cold parkland course at Mansfield, and against top class UK opposition Ivanhoe Runners fielded a men's and women's team. With the men running a 5k lap, Matt Pleass led off, followed by Phil Stevenson, Nick Rowled and finally Andy Lindley. hey did well to finish 129th out of 166 teams, a very creditable performance. The ladies team was Karen Bell, Ruth Enion and Victoria Smith and they again ran well to finish 88th out of 123 teams, proving that Ivanhoe Runners can mix it with the best in the land.

Also off road, Andy Lindley, Craig Hinds and Emma Rudge braved the very popular Dovedale Dash, an approximately 4.5 mile race including the notorious crossing of the River Dove. Andy was first home, quicker than last year, in 36.17, while Craig clocked 38.42 and Emma 54.01. That rounded off an extremely busy Ivanhoe weekend despite there being no league action.
