Race results

Ivanhoe Runners Emily Wideman took part in her first marathon at Chester, and set an excellent time of 3.43.16, a brilliant debut for the full marathon distance and just reward for all the hard training miles she had put in.

Alongside the traditional 26.2 mile marathon, the organisers also held a "metric marathon" of 26.2 kilometres, which Ivanhoe's Andy Lindley took part in for the second time. he posted a time of 2.0.27 which was a pleasing 2 minutes faster than his previous time for the distance.

In the more local Shelton Striders 10k event, three Ivanhoe Runners raced the event, all posting good times and one setting a new personal best. Alastair Chambers was first home for the club in an excellent 38.23, ahead of Simon Terry who clocked 41.19. Tim Moore was delighted with his time of 48.25 which knocked over two minutes off his previous best 10k time, a great run.
