Race results


The Leicestershire Road Running League train moved on to the John Fraser ten mile event, and Ivanhoe Runners fielded a 21 strong team for the race.

Ever dependable fast man Craig Hinds led the team home in an excellent 45th place in 1.03.14, in his longest race for some time. Ramzi Sidani returned to racing for Ivanhoe and did well to finish 60th in 1.04.49, while Nick Rowles continued his purple patch by running sub-70 and finishing in 1.08.09 in 85th place.

Andy Lindley had a superb run; despite over-extended major birthday celebrations he ran a new personal best time of 1.10.25 to finish in 117th place. Next home was James Cox,  clocking 1.12.52 (157th) in possibly his first 10 mile race. Patrick Horn was 177th in 1.14.02, a minute ahead of Ivanhoe's first lady home, Clare Fowell running 1.15.01 to finish 24th lady.

Andy Jeyes was just behind Clare, clocking 1.15.05 (199th), before second club lady Emily Wideman finished in 1.16.02 to finish 32nd lady. Martin Yeomans was next home, clocking 1.17.52 (225th), followed by Matt Joyce 1.18.17 (232nd), Rosie Dear 1.18.33 (47th lady), and Tracey Powell 1.19.43 (56th).

Andrea Trickett was 58th lady in 1.20.22, closely followed by Karen Bell 62nd in 1.20.40, while David Walker clocked 1.22.44 in his first ten mile race for the club. Karen Hartland was next home, clocking 1.23.18 (75th), ahead of Amanda Bradbury 100th in 1.27.22, Ruth Cousin 123rd in 1.29.22, Heather Swan 179th in 1.27.51 and Julie Henfrey 270th in 2.14.42.
