Eight Ivanhoe Runners took in the Belvoir half marathon, run on a relatively fast course along the Vale of Belvoir, and two of the party were rewarded with excellent personal bests. Ladies Captain Victoria Smith knocked 1 minute 45 seconds off her previous best to clock an excellent 1.47.41 while Emma Kirtland knocked over 4 minutes off as she clocked 1.53.14.

First home for the club was Alistair Chambers, 19th overall in 1.24.32, well ahead of second placer for Ivanhoe Martin Yeomans 1.37.34 in 132nd place. Rosie Dear ran 1.44.01 ahead of the two personal best-setting ladies, with Emma alongside Andy Lindley who, “fresh” from the Caythorpe Canter 26 the day before, paced Emma round in 1.53.14. Carolyn Osborne ran 1.58.50 while Heather Swan continued her London preparations, running a pleasing 1.59.49.
