A contingent of Ivanhoe Runners took on the difficult course of the Loughborough half marathon, which takes in some off-road paths. First home was Alastair Burgwin in 53rd place in 1.32.14 in his ahead of personal best setting Louis Barnes in 1.34.00 in 68th place, followed by Andy Lindley 89th in 1.36.10. Dave Hobbs ran 1.39.11 (102nd) before Mark Parker came home with a new personal best time by over a minute, clocking 1.40.16 in 113th place. Also “personal besting” was Emily Wideman, knocking off a massive six minute plus as she finished first Ivanhoe lady in 1.42.42 and an excellent 9th lady overall.

Karen Hartland clocked 1.48.51 (15th female) ahead of Amanda Bradbury 1.54.40 (12th), using Loughborough as a sharpener before the London marathon. Sophie Cooper made her first attempt at the distance a successful one as she clocked 1.55.32 (38th) just ahead of Emily Partridge 1.55.43 (40th) and Lindsay Tilbury 1.57.57 (47th female).
