Personal bests were in evidence for Ivanhoe Runners at the Coventry half marathon. Dave Hobbs ran 1.26.34 but set a personal best for a citizens arrest, detaining a local scally who was breaking into his car until the police arrived! Clare Fowell missed her PB time by just one second, but still stormed round in 1.31.15, a tremendous time. New Ivanhoe Runner Mark Parker and Emily Partridge both set personal bests, helped they say by recent Ivanhoe “quality” sessions aimed at increasing speed and endurance. Mark ran 1.41.38 and Emily 1.46.12, both new bests.
