Race results

A hardy team of ten Ivanhoe Runners took part in the Stamford 30k, traditionally a tough test ahead of Spring marathons for most of the field.

Leading the squad home was Alistair Chambers, 59th in a strong time of 2.07.18. Andy Jeyes had another brilliant run, clocking 2.21.44 in 152nd and being 2nd vet60 home. Steve Rundell was 185th in 2.25.05, ahead of Andy Lindley who was pleased with 2.26.32 in 208th place. Tim Sturla continued his comeback with 2.30.40 (238th), while Gez Eivors ran his longest ever race to clock 2.31.00. Nick Teige admitted that he had a bit of a stinker as he ran 2..42.11 in 350th place.

A trio of Ivanhoe Ladies ran, with the two Karen’s Hartland and Bell keeping Lindsay Tilbury company on her longest run in their marathon preparations. Karen Hartland and Lindsay clocked 2.55.23 while Karen Bell was just behind in 2.56.19.
