23/12/2014 - Ivanhoe Grand Prix 2014

After a couple of false starts the Ivanhoe Grand Prix 2014 finally got underway with the Stilton 7 and eleven races later we have our champions! This year 42 women and 42 men have battled it out over the last nine months to be crown King and Queen of Ivanhoe.

In a nail biting sprint to the finish Laura Graves just managed to pip Sally Jeyes on count back in the ladies competition. Laura claiming the vital 25 points in the Turkey Trot to overhaul Sally who sadly had to skip the race due to injury.

The mens competition had been settled by early November when Andy Jeyes claimed the 25 points at the Shepshed 7, to make it the perfect 150 in 2014. So the mens trophy will be return to the mantle piece in the Jeyes household following Andy's successful defense of his 2013 title. Martin Yeomans put in a strong challenge to finish runner up, beating off a late season surge for second by Ramzi Sidani.

Well done to all those who have competed during the year.
