Four Ivanhoe Runners completed marathons recently – Karen Bell and Fiona McKean finishing the Edinburgh Marathon in tough conditions. After being hit by a car only a month ago after running the London Marathon and needing painkillers in the race Karen did amazingly well to finish in 3:55. Fiona also had a fantastic day to beat her previous personal best by 6 minutes, finishing in 4:14. Meanwhile Tim Sturla and Ian Kirk enjoyed the challenge of the hilly Flying Fox marathon in Shropshire, finishing together in 3:50 to set themselves up well for their forthcoming ultramarathon race.
