There were no running league races this weekend and several Ivanhoe Runners took the opportunity to turn their hand instead at triathlon, with four members making their debuts in the tough half-ironman distance event. Ruth Enion participated in the hilly Switzerland Ironman 70.3 race and had a fantastic day to complete in 5.53.30. Closer to home, Phil Stevenson, Ingrid Redmond and Andy Lindley took on the Outlaw Half Ironman, each impressing with Phil finishing in a speedy 5.00.53, Ingrid completing in 5:48:43 and Andy in 6:10:17, super times for all in this gruelling event.
