Ivanhoe went on tour this weekend, this year it was beautiful Budapest. Nine runners kicked off the weekend with the 10k race on Saturday. Mark Parker finished in a fabulous 19th position with his time of 39:02, then Martin Yeomans was second home for the club in 48:30. Judith Sanders ran a speedy 53:38 and first Ivanhoe lady home, just ahead of Dawn Pearson in 53:44, and Emily Partridge in 55:15. Ange Bebbington was next to finish in 59:35, followed by Bob White in 1:03:16 and Kev Sanders in 1:03:59. Chrissie Betteridge rounded off the team in 1:13:25.

Sunday is Marathon Day, with the course taking runners along the banks of the Danube, across bridges, with views of Buda Castle and the Parliament buildings.

Andrew Stanley took on the option of the 30k route, finishing in 2:22:07.

The marathon can also be run as a relay in teams of 2, with Heather Swan and Gemma Shaw making up a team, clocking 2:09:14 and 2:08:25 respectively.

Julie Taylor and Helen Finn ran another relay team with Julie clocking 1:47:32 and Helen 2:09:16.

Richard Bebbington was the sole marathon runner, and had an enjoyable race finishing a comfortable 3:56:25.
