Sunday saw league racing again with the BDSL Tamworth Gate Gallop 10k. This was a very profitable race for Ivanhoe Runners with Andrea Trickett (4th in 49.28), Karen Bell (6th in 50.18) and Karen Hartland (10th in 53.11) picking up the ladies team prize. Leading he men home was Matt Pleass in a brilliant third place overall in 40.07, ahead of Craig Hinds 7th in 41.04 picking up an age group prize, James Cubitt 20th in 43.44 and Martin Yeomans 35th in 46.55. Andy Jeyes unsurprisingly picked up an age group award as he stormed round in 47.27, holding off Mark Parker who ran 48.42 before running the Donington 10k in the afternoon!

Behind Ivanhoe's winning ladies team came Emily Partridge 18th in 55.19, before she also headed off to the Donington 10k, Teresa Talbott 23rd in 57.00, Amanda Bradbury 24th in 57.13 and a rare appearance from the Chairmans consort, Michael Swan, running 58.05. The chairman herself, Heather Swan, was 37th in 1.00.01, ahead of Kev Wright and Fiona McKean (1.01.50 and 1.01.51). Grania Towle ran 1.07.55 and the team was comleted by Julie Henfrey in 1.21.47.
