We were absolutely delighted to be able to host an in person celebration night this year. Our virtual shenanigans were a hit in 2021 but nothing comes close to the real thing. We were chuffed to bits to be welcoming everyone to the Lyric Rooms once more for an evening of drinks, dancing, fine food, fun, sparkle and successes!

The first awards to be handed out were from our club captains, Victoria @victor1asmith and Mark @markyparker22

Newcomer awards were presented to Amelia Willden and Robin Edlin, after they have fully immersed themselves into club activities, regularly attending training evenings, signing up for races, achieving amazing times and becoming familiar faces as part of the Ivanhoe family.

Team player awards were presented to Matt Pleass and Fiona Betts @busyfi . Matt has arranged some fabulous social evenings this year to keep the club connected in hard times, and is always turning out at events even when not running to support the team. We are so proud to have Fiz at Ivanhoe, she’s our XC captain and does so much to welcome and encourage everyone. You may have even spotted her out on the streets recently dressed as a banana, and as a ketchup bottle, raising money for @erdingeralkoholfrei.de 5K your way Move Against Cancer.

The final captains awards went to four of our most improved members throughout 2021. These went to Mindy Ashton, Abby Halcarz @abbyhalcarz , Simon Hall, and after much encouragement to accept the accolade from fellow committee members, Mark Parker. All have had a smashing year, achieving huge PBs across multiple distances.
