What a season it's been for Ivanhoe Runners! From the winter mud of the cross-country league to the summer road races, our teams and individuals have racked up podium after podium across 2025. Here's a round-up of the highlights.

Derby Runner Cross-Country League 2025/26

Cross-country is the ultimate team effort, and our runners delivered in style on some properly testing courses. Both the men's and women's teams finished a superb 3rd overall in the final league standings — a brilliant reward for everyone who turned out, race after race, whatever the weather.

Burton & District Summer League 2025 — the teams

Onto the roads for the summer, and more silverware to celebrate: both our men's and women's teams finished 2nd overall in the BDSL. Strength in depth was the story all series long, with big turnouts at every fixture keeping us right in the hunt from the first race to the last.

Burton & District Summer League 2025 — the individuals

It was a fantastic series for our individual runners too, with three category titles coming home to Ivanhoe:

• Mark Parker — Senior Men champion
• Emily Parker — Senior Ladies champion
• Bethany Sidani — Under-25 Ladies champion

There was a strong Ivanhoe presence on the VM40 podium as well, with Matt Pleass taking 2nd and Ramzi Sidani 3rd in a competitive category.

A special mention goes to Martin Yeomans, who completed 100% of the BDSL races — turning out for every single fixture across the series. That kind of consistency is exactly what powers the team results, and it doesn't go unnoticed!
